An Open Letter to My Friends

I’m writing this letter because life is too short for things to go unsaid.

I aim to have mentors in my life, and in many ways, you guys are my mentors. I genuinely look up to you all. I want you guys to know how immense an impact you have on my life. Whenever I go to you all with a need, you are more than happy to lend your time, thoughts, and advice with candor. These conversations have a lasting impact on me because I gain insights into my personality, career, and life. How many times has one watched a show and the character is oblivious to their flaws? You guys are the audience reaching out to a flawed character. You guys open my mind to new possibilities. You help me think about the bigger picture while understanding the realities of how the world truly works. I genuinely strive to be a better person because you all are my role models.

You guys are relentlessly great friends. I want you all to know how deeply appreciative I am of your kindness and selflessness. You all give without asking for anything in return. Everything you all have done for me greatly improved my quality of life and outlook. I’m deeply thankful. In time, I hope to return the favor twice over (starting with a drink once the virus is under control).
